Get ready to run wild with Flint the River Otter!

The Born to Be Wild 5K/10K/Fun Run is coming to McGuffey Nature Center at the Coweta County Fairgrounds on December 12, 2026. Lace up and join Sole Roots Racing, Coweta County, and the Southern Conservation Trust for a race that’s more than just miles—it’s making a difference. Every step you take helps us reach our fundraising goal to support conservation advocacy efforts, conserving land, and protecting wildlife in our community. Join us for this family-friendly event! Dress up as your favorite SCT mascot, and each registered child can choose either a “Flint” the otter plushie or an event T-shirt.

Whether you’re chasing a new PR or enjoying the Fun Run with family, you’ll be part of a wild day that supports nature—and you might even catch our playful mascot, Flint, cheering you on at the finish line!

*This event is rain or shine. We do have a weather safety cutoff—if the venue's site or conditions are deemed unsafe for participants, volunteers, or vendors, we will notify everyone by email by 5 PM on Friday, 12/11. In the event of a cancellation, registrations are converted to a tax-deductible donation, and participants will be offered post-event T-shirt pick-up.
