Make the most of Fall Break with a week of animal encounters, hands-on crafts, seasonal treats, and family-friendly fun at Southern Conservation Trust’s Nature Center!

Come for one activity or stay for several! This flexible, come-and-go experience lets your family enjoy Fall Festival Week at your own pace.

Parking: Parking is available at the Fayette County Library, located at 1821 Heritage Pkwy., Fayetteville, GA 30214. Please park in the back left area of the library parking lot.

FALL BREAK JUST GOT WILDER!


Join us during Fall Break for a week-long celebration filled with animal encounters, fall-themed crafts, seasonal snacks and beverages, and plenty of opportunities to get outside and have fun!


Fall Festival Week is designed as a flexible, family-style, come-and-go experience, so you can build your day around your family's schedule. Stop by for one activity or stay and enjoy several throughout the day.


If you're like us and one fall event just isn't enough, this is right up your corn maze alley!

How It Works

One Week. Lots of Fall Fun.


A different fall adventure awaits each day! Families can enjoy:

🦎 Animal Encounters — Meet some of our animal ambassadors and learn their stories.

🍂 Fall Crafts — Create something fun to take home each day.

🐐 Goat Treats — Visit Ash & Spruce and give them some fall treats.

🍎 Seasonal Snacks & Drinks — Enjoy special fall-inspired treats on select days.

🎃 Friday Fall Festivities — Wrap up the week with pumpkins, family photos, books, pumpkin spice drinks, and more!


IMPORTANT DETAILS & FAQS

What is the

Daily Pass?

The Daily Pass allows you to participate in all activities offered that day for just $10 per participant per day or $5 per member participant. It's perfect for families who want to enjoy a single day of fall fun!

What is the

Week-Long Pass?

For $25 per participant for the week ($15 for members), the Week-Long Pass gives you access to all Fall Festival Week activities throughout October 12–16.


When you check in for your first event, you'll receive a lanyard that serves as your pass for the week. Bring it back with you each time you return!

Do I Have to

Attend Every Day?

No! That's the beauty of Fall Festival Week. Purchase a Daily Pass or Week-Long Pass and participate in as many activities as your schedule allows.

Are Chaperones Free?

Yes! Non-participating chaperones are free. Guests who participate in activities will need a Daily Pass or Week-Long Pass.

Are Tickets Limited?

Yes! Space is limited, so we recommend purchasing your tickets or Week-Long Pass early.

We have a limited number of Week-Long Passes available, with a maximum of 25 participants each day.

Once capacity is reached, tickets may no longer be available.

    Apple Cider & Animal Encounter — Reading Nook


    Grab a cup of apple cider from our cider bar and join us in our reading nook to meet one of our ambassador reptiles. Learn their story and maybe even get to touch them!


    1:30–2:30 PM


    Fall Craft Hour: Fall Leaf Pigment Handkerchief


    Join an SCT Educator to collect some leaves around the property and use their pigment to create a fun and beautiful fall-inspired leaf handkerchief.

    Meet Ash & Spruce, our Pygmy Goats, and feed them some fall treats!

    Meet one of our animal ambassadors, learn their story, and maybe even get to touch them!

    Fall Craft Hour: Gyotaku Fish Printing


    If you know some anglers, you know their fish stories can quickly become tall tales! Join us to learn the art of Gyotaku Fish Printing and make a print of your own to take home.

    Meet Ash & Spruce, our Pygmy Goats, and feed them some fall treats!

    DIY Trail Mix & Animal Encounter — Reading Nook


    Make your own bag of trail mix at our trail mix bar and then join us in our reading nook to meet one of our ambassador reptiles. Learn their story and maybe even get to touch them!


    1:30–2:30 PM


    Fall Craft Hour: Tic-Tac-Toe Leaf Game


    Join us to design and color your very own laser-cut wood tic-tac-toe board with leaf pieces—perfect for those fall road trips with the family.

    Fall Craft Hour: Tree Cookie Ornament Decorating


    Grab a tree cookie (wood ornament) and decorate it with us! We’ll have an assortment of coloring materials and fun fall-themed stickers for you to use to make your fall season a little more festive.

    Friday is our BIG Fall Festival finale! 🎃 Keep scrolling to see all of the Friday-only festivities and start planning your afternoon of fall fun!

We're wrapping up Fall Festival Week with an extra-special afternoon of fall crafts, family fun, animals, books, and seasonal treats!


Friday-only activities are $10 per participant, $5 per member, or included with your Fall Festival Week pass.


🎃 Tiny Pumpkin Decorating

12:30–5:00 PM

Let your imagination run wild! Decorate a tiny pumpkin with us and make it your own. Create a spooky jack-o'-lantern, dress it up with pressed flowers, or come up with something completely unique—we'd love to see what you create!


🐐 Goat Family Photos

1:00–1:45 PM & 3:00–3:45 PM

Bring your family or friends for a festive fall photo with our Nigerian Pygmy Goats, Ash & Spruce! Our staff will take a photo using your phone so you can take home a fun fall memory.


📚 Book Reading, Signing & Sales

12:00–4:00 PM

Meet award-winning author, illustrator, and speaker Brittany Petish as she reads from her True Heart Tails™ LLC collection. Enjoy a story, meet the author, and browse her books, which will be available for purchase.


☕ DIY Pumpkin Spice Latte Bar

12:30–5:00 PM

Stop by our kid-friendly DIY pumpkin spice latte bar and create your own personalized fall drink! Choose your favorite toppings and mix-ins for the perfect pumpkin spice treat.
